FILMS
Parasite (2019)
Parasite is a must-watch movie that debuted in 2019. The Oscar-winning Korean film follows two families on opposite ends of socioeconomic realms. The film is almost a satire of the issues within social classes and the inequality of people based on it. The use of greed, thrill, gore, and comedic features throughout the film continues to keep you intrigued from the beginning to the end.

American Psycho (2000)

The film’s premise follows a young and relatively successful young man who lives by day as an ordinary professional and by night as a serial killer. From the storyline to the acting throughout the film, if you're a fan of gore and great storytelling, this film is a must-watch.

Invisible Man (2020)
Invisible Man is a thriller film starring Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid’s Tale.) The movie’s premise follows a woman who is dealing with an unseen threat in her home. Following her ex-boyfriend’s suicide, she begins to be terrorized by an invisible figure that may be the work of her presumably dead ex-boyfriend. Moss's acting throughout the movie really allows for such a believable take to the movie. Despite us not seeing the figure, you truly feel the torment is actually happening to her. The game of cat and mouse with the two leads keeps the suspense at an all-time high throughout the entirety of the film.

Smile (2022)
Smile is a newly released horror film and easily serves as one of the most entertaining/heart-racing films I've experienced in a long time. The plot doesn't feel completely standard, as many horror films tend to fall into. The production of the film had not only me but the entire theater scare jumping in our seats. If you're looking for a good scare for the Halloween season, this is definitely a must watch.
