Casablanca Paris Embraces Ancient Greek Influence in Fall/Winter 2024 Campaign

Casablanca's latest campaign for Fall/Winter 2024 immerses itself in the timeless influence of ancient Greek culture, displaying the profound impact of classical beauty on contemporary fashion. Creative Director Charaf Tajer has masterfully woven this influence into the collection’s narrative, presenting a captivating fusion of classical ideals and modern allure.

The campaign’s visual journey is a time-traveling odyssey that navigates both past and future. This cinematic exploration evokes the epic voyages of Homer and the visionary artistry of Stanley Kubrick, bridging ancient Greece with the present day. The inspiration behind the collection draws deeply from Eleusis, the revered site of ancient Grecian pilgrimages known for its transformative rites. Influential figures such as Plato, Aristotle, Herodotus, Sophocles and Euripides once journeyed to Eleusis, seeking enlightenment through its sacred rituals, which often involved psychedelics. The campaign channels this hypnotic and transcendental spirit, with models like Alex Consani (a personal favorite) striking iconic poses reminiscent of Grecian gods and Olympian heroes. Their journey through ancient and cosmic landscapes symbolizes the melding of past wisdom with contemporary aesthetics.
